Bush braai at Pretoriuskop in August

Unread postby CCB » Fri Jul 10, 2015 10:03 pm

Hi folks,

We are looking for some nice people who would like to join us for a bush braai. I have been in touch with the guys at Pretoriuskop, who would be willing to organise it.
However, the minimum number of participants is 6 and there are currently only 3 of us. The dates would be August 8 or 9. Anyone interested?

See you!
Chris

:hello:

I apologize in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place. A few months ago I saw that there was an area on the forum dedicated to finding companions to share in a bush braai. I can't seem to find it now, so I'm making my post here. My husband and I are hoping to book a bush braai for Satara. We would be looking at the evenings of 8, 9, or 10 December, 2015. We would love to find other companions to join us. We attended a bush braai at Lower Sabie on our last trip and it was fabulous! Please let me know if you'll be at Satara over those dates and you'd like to join us!

:thanx:

October Boma Braai

Unread postby marciaandre » Thu Jul 30, 2015 3:23 pm

We are trying to arrange a boma braai for one evening during our upcoming Kruger visit. I've emailed each camp, but so far only heard back from Oilfants that they do not offer this. Hopefully, my dates and camps should be reflected in my signature, if I've done this right. Just wondering if there's anyone else who has information about this, or wants to team up. Thanks very much.

A pity to hear that Olifants don't offer bush braai's, hopefully its just a hitch and they will be resumed again soon.
Do also have a read through Bush Braai's where you can get some info and advice.

Re: Bush Braai's offered from camps

We are looking for more people to join a bush braai during our upcoming Kruger visit. I've contacted all of our scheduled camps, and so far have only heard back from Satara. They offer a bush braai with a minimum of 6 people at R595.90 per person departing at 1700 provided by Mugg & Bean. So, I suppose if we could find 4 more people who match our dates at Satara (below) we could get something booked. Anyone out there interested?

We are a party of 6 interested in a Bush Braai. We are staying at Olifants Sept 16 and 17, but the minimum is 8 people, so we would need at least 2 more. Please reply if you are interested.

Long shot and short notice!
And I hope this is the right place to ask.
We've visited KNP many times from UK but never been out in the dark!
We (two) would like to have a bush braai at Skukuza on either 14 or 15 Sept.
Will there already be plenty customers signed up?
Can we find out in advance?
If not is anyone else interested?

TIA

We are two New Zealanders looking for people to join us at Satara or Lower Sabie for a bush Braii on any of the nights we are staying at those camps. I have read a lot of great reviews about them and would love to go on one. Just need the numbers. :)

Warm welcome to the forum Kiwi lass!

Just and idea, if you have a look at When will I see Yellow Ribbons in Kruger you can see who will be in the same camps as you and may be able to contact them and see if they are wanting to do a bush braai as well.

Yellow ribbons are what we tie onto our drivers side mirrors when in the parks so we can recognise each other and meet up.

Hello Kiwilass
We will be at Satara on 23 and had planned on doing a sunset/night drive, but maybe a bush braai would be a fun alternative?

Hi Avocadeau,

That sounds fantastic :D :D :D . 6 people is their minimum so we could book it. I should imagine that they will be able to cater to vegetarians fine but will pay to make sure. My understanding is that it is R590 for the bush braai which is a sunset drive and dinner combined. Not sure if it is cheaper for children.

I have previously contacted edward.ndhlovu@sanparks.org at Satara who is their head guide about a bush braai. He said the following on August 24th,

"Dear Michelle

Thank you for showing interest in our activities, ... We regret that we have not received any request from other guests on the said dates however, we would like to assure you that we will reserve a space as soon as other guests make a request."

If you are happy to e-mail Edward with your booking for the bush braai and I will do the same it will be all on. He will need your reservation number. Just let me know if you do want to go ahead with it. It would be so much fun.
