I included Letaba in case there were any other members who would perhaps like to do a bush braai from there.

Try the following addresses for B & D and I will try and find out re the hospitality manager there.
Duty Manager(s)
Ncamsile Dlamini
email: ncamsile.dlamini@sanparks.org
or
Sonika Smith
email: sonika.smith@sanparks.org

And as I said I am still waiting for confirmation that Satara is currently offering the braais.
will update as soon as I hear anything further.

Hi

I am looking for a bush braai in June'17...Will be visiting KNP from 26 Jun - 1 Jul'17. Plan to stay at Lower Sabie, Satara, Olifants and Skukuza...still working out the actual dates in each camp.

I have written to each of the hospitality managers for details and am awaiting reply. Meanwhile Skukuza manager's id phuthi.namethe@sanparks.org bounced back as it couldn't be found.

We are 2 people and would like to join if someone has already arranged for a bush braai or if someone wants to join us.

Thanks

junglebird as I mentioned in my other response to one of your questions...I really think your priority now is to try and secure your accommodation...establish availability in the type of accommodation you want and then book and pay for it so that the reservation is secure. All the camps you have mentioned are extremely popular and as I mentioned this is a school holiday period here in South Africa so the Park will be extremely busy.

Bush braais require a minimum of 6 people before they are held so you may only be able to confirm this once you actually arrive at the camp itself where you are overnighting. It looks as though you are only planning 6 nights in the Park....really first prize here is to book and secure accommodation first!

Thanks for your concern Mischief. Took your advice and made the bookings. Unfortunately I can't find accommodation with utensils in Olifants and they are the only camp who have come back with the bush braai details to me. I'll wait it out a day or choose between Satara or an additional night in Letaba instead.

We have booked for a night drive at Skukuza on the 7th of July 2017, which we would like to combine with a bush braai. Any advice on how to book such a braai? and anyone else interested to join the braai? Apparently there needs to be a minimum of 8 people? We are 5. Thanks

You need to contact the Camps directly to make enquiries re the bush braai's.
There is a minimum number of people required before it will go ahead.
The prices seem to vary from camp to camp and range around R650 pp

Lizth, also when we stayed at Lower Sabie in 2015 they had a board outside reception where they displayed all the bush braai's they had booked over the next few days, we managed to just add the 2 of us onto a bush braai that evening, had a fantastic time, met lots of new, welcoming people

I think what you have booked and your ideas are all good Lizth!

Remember every bungalow, regardless of which type you have booked has its own braai stand in front of the unit, so you can do your own braai any or every night you like.

Hi all
we have planned (and requested at camp) a bush braa for 2 persons at Olifant this 14 august 2017
they took a note for us becouse we need a minimum of 4 persons and until now they do not have other requests

if anyone is intrested and want to arrange it from now ... this is the direct email of the camp to make the reservation
dennis.mokoena@sanparks.org
