Great Pics by the way. I will be staying at Shipandani Hide on 4th October and would love to come see the Owls at Tsendze. Are we allowed to pop into the camp to do this if we are not staying there?

Hi Snoobab, when you arrived a Mooiplaas picnic spot, as the Phiniuas he can contact me or Elina, will come and collect you from there to come and look at the camp, you are welcome Snoobab

You are a star Roger, Thanks so much, I cant wait. We do normally camp (this time we are staying in huts) and I might just have to book a few nights at your camp for next year.

I'm including this about Mooiplaas here as it's adjacent to Tsendze.

We were about to leave when the very friendly caretaker of the picnic site stopped me because he saw the yellow and red ribbons on our vehicles.

Phiniuas took us to see the scops owl asleep in a tree.

Thank you Phiniuas. We would have missed it.......... :wall: :wall: and so would have many other visitors - all very excited
(We promised I would mention him on the forum!)

Beautiful pictures Rodgerh! I love those Eland! What a special sighting!

Of course I also love all the Owls and the Bateleurs! Absolutely stunning!

It was lovely to see you again, although you were very naughty to show barryels the Barred Owlet on a much lower branch in another tree than the one I was busy taking pictures of, VERY high up in another tree!

@ umtali1: Phinias showed us the little Scopsie at Mooiplaas too umtali1! Yellow and red ribbons certainly open doors!

What a super sighting, Umtali.

I hope there is a trip report on the way.
