Great news btw. Let's pray for regular improvement.

Agreed! This is a great example of the power of positive social media. Take care, Andrew!

To all the rangers who are fighting to save the lives of our rhino and other animals, I would love to stand beside you and help, but I'm sure I would just get in the way.
Be assured that there are thousands here and around the world who stand next to you in spirit in this battle. We are proud of you and salute you!

As others have said "a mere thank you" does not do justice for the work you all do.
I thank and pray for all you brave souls from the bottom of my heart.
I hope and pray we can all end this unnessesary bloodshed. :k

Totally agree, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when keeping the monkeys at bay. We were also happy with the price of the menu. R30 for pie (venison was Devine), chips and gravy. Lower Sabie wanted R59 for the same meal.

It certainly is a sad world when people and animals are dying because someone believes a horn can cure disease. Hats off to all those we will never see for all you are doing to save our wildlife from these total idiots. No words can describe how grateful I am that through your efforts, we have a chance at having wild rhino in 20 years time still walking our reserves. My heart felt sad very time I pulled up to one of these wonderful creatures, to know that they could all be gone one day. I salute you all.
Cheers

Re: Mopani Restaurant

Unread postby Jock » Tue Jun 18, 2013 8:50 am

What a pleasure to eat there. We had a breakfast and lunch on separate days. The food was beautifully presented, tasty and fresh, just showing what can be done. Our only issue was no dry white wine was available to have with our lunch.

Although it is the most beautiful setting to sit and look over the dam from the balcony, I would recommend going inside. Our breakfast was cold by the time it reached us but it was our fault for wanting to sit there.
Cheers

Thanks DB for keeping us updated. Have been in Kruger for the last couple of weeks and thought of you often Andrew and was thankful for you and others like you who work so hard to preserve the environment and the creatures that live there. Hang in there: you are so needed - by family, friends and the people that love the Kruger park.
