Caught up again!

That stork.....somehow it looks quite happy with the crocs around so MM could very well be right.

Kudus - male and female are such majestic antelope.

The braai is making me feel hungry......love that quick blue cheese sauce!

Just managed to get on the bus!

It is a long time since I was last in KTP but your pics bring back many memories and I can almost smell the dust and sand.
As always - beautiful pics and already Cheetah.....that is fantastic!

Looking forward to the next episode

Re: Journey of Healing: Embracing the African Lifeforce December 2023

Just got around to reading this........welcome back to Kruger! Certainly the inhabitants have gathered around to welcome you!

Sorry to hear about your mother - mine also died of cancer shortly after diagnosis - my deepest sympathy.

Looking forward to the rest of your journey through Kruger

Re: First-timer itinerary help for longish stay

I am a confirmed "Northerner" and very rarely venture further south than Mopani and I am also a camper so my view of camps and roads is a little different! Punda Maria's waterhole is a delight - one can sit in the hide situated in the campground overlooking the the waterhole for hours...an...

Re: Driving (best route) to/from Kruger

Hi WackoRhino

I fully agree with Hippotragus with regard to the R524/R81......The R81 is far less "nerve wracking" than the R524 - last travelled it in May this year - good condition with some speed bumps between Malumulele and Giyani - these are mainly near schools!

Re: Getting there!

Hi Diana! If the thought of driving from Cape Town to Addo is your main reason for not hiring a car... would like to suggest that you fly from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and hire a car there. You will only be about 80kms from Addo. Alternatively check on the internet if there are not com...

Re: Potential Load Shedding TimeTable for KNP

It is confusing - even to the staff!! In June I was in Shingwedzi and, very stupidly, assumed that their times would be the same as Giyani.......oh no! somehow they fall under Phalaborwa   Fortunately they had a generator and - if you have a modem with you - cell phone and internet albeit ...

Re: Spa's in at least 5 more Kruger camps, and possibly all Kruger camps (and gates)

Kikat1953 - I do agree with you that a Spa in the smaller camps (eg Orpen) bush camps and gates (??) does not make much sense. In the larger camps such as Skukuza - yes! these are camps that will attract the majority of visitors and therefore, might make a Spa a viable monetary proposition. However,...
