Re: Namaqua: Flower Season

Hi Lion queen, Lovely pictures of the flowers last year. I am planning a trip next year 2024 and would like to know a bit more about the two new coastal camps, Moonbay and Seeduiker. Those were not open during our stay in 2019. Assume not much different from the other but will be great to know the l...

Re: NAMAQUALAND coastal section 4x4 needed?

We did the route from Hondeklipbaai a few years ago and gave feedback as quoted below: We have just returned from a trip to Karoo, Tankwa, Namakwa and West Coast NP. Luckily we did not take our off-road caravan along to camp at Koringkorrel bay. We started off at Skilpad restcamp and followed the Ca...

Re: NAMAQUALAND coastal section 4x4 needed?

klambrec you will be able to reach that camp in a sedan from Groenriviermond entrance, but a 4x4 is required when entering from Hondeklipbaai. The sandy sections where you will require a 4x4 is north of Delwerskamp and the Flowers Beach camp. There you will only be able to drive in a 4x4 as the sand...

Re: General Photography Chat

Hi 61elkchaser looks like you will be there at the time as us. If you looking for area,s that are quite then go up North. Not sure what type of photography you into, but looking at what you say is seams to me you like the animal full in the camera or very close to that and not animal scapes. (That i...

Re: Reminders as to why I wish I was back in the Kgalagadi

Great shots all Another reason WAS the great clear uninterrupted photo opportunities that you could get and the freedom you had to move the car as you like for the photo due to the low amount of cars ( Sadly no more) around Nossob, but still great up around Polentswa https://i.imgur.com/JuEbZRL.jpg ...
