The Dead of Jerico by Colin Dexter. I'm not as gripped as I though I would be which is disappointing as I have about three more in the Morse series to go through. Maybe I should have read them years ago before watching the series....

Thanks Barry. Cant add anything new I'm afraid, although the Red-throated Wrynecks that I saw in the garden earlier this week were new on my garden list!

I edited my list to add little Sparrowhawk and to remove (F) from Egyptian Goose as they have been foraging along a stream in the garden.
