Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

A very good morning everyone Cloudy and cool again today with prediction of light rain during the day. Thanks for the brekkie tray MM. Hope the weather will be good for Kirsty at Breakers this time MM. Luckily you can work from home but it must be difficult to those who can't so I do hope the bridge...

Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

Do hope Doughall will soon be feeling better and have his woof back again. Elsa's mentioned Midrand Dam is 108% full And I don't think that is the only one of the dams that is full to the brim. We did have a big dark cloud hanging over us earlier but it doesn't seem to have made its presence felt so...

Re: OR Tambo to Malelane - stopover advice

I think that will be your best option, if you were arriving on an earlier flight our advice would have been a bit different. For any future visits taking a short flight from OR to KMIA is also an option, they have a good selection of rental cars there and close to several shopping areas dependent on...

Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

Nice to have you popping in chirinda but sorry to see you have not been too well, I do hope the doc can give you something to help with the coughing. Packing coming along GEJ. Some neighbors outdoors, a lot of chatting. That's what happens here as well, we go for a walk but spend more time chatting ...

Re: OR Tambo to Malelane - stopover advice

Alan, as has already been said if it's a weekday you will be going into rush hour which could slow you down considerably and safety could become a problem if you had to have any car issues that required you to stop on the side of the road depending on who stops to "assist" especially if it...

Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

A very good morning to everyone Thanks for the brekkie tray MM. We have some blue skies around but also quite a lot of cloud, small chance of rain, but lets see. Slightly warmer. Still lots of rain up north! Good to have your computer hinges fixed. Always a shame to lose trees and also block Kirst's...

Re: OR Tambo to Malelane - stopover advice

Nelspruit is quite a long drive especially if you are only realistically leaving the airport around 4pm after picking up your rental. Why don't you consider staying somewhere close to the airport, there is a good hotel right there, have a good night's sleep and leave early for the drive to the park....

Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

Elsa. I see there were heavy rains up your way yesterday. I hope all is okay your side. We certainly did, it brought back scary memories of the big floods of a few years back! But apart from a few washaways and damage to our boundary fence all is OK. Enjoy your dance social. Off to the theatre toni...

Re: Chat in camp under the Jackalberry tree

We had more serious rain this afternoon, in fact quite scary and it appears as if there is at least another 50mm's in the rain gauge after just a couple of hours. But it has thankfully stopped and even became a little brighter early, might just get a little light rain later. Forest walk sounded love...
