PPP Opportunity for the right to build and operate new or mobile spa facilities in the Letaba, Olifants, Balule, Tsendze, Mopani and Shimuwini camps in the for a period of 10 years

In line with its Strategic Plan for Commercialization, SANParks intends to form a Public Private Partnership (PPP) in terms of which a selected private party will be given the rights to operate spa facilities in the following camps in the Kruger National Park: Letaba, Olifants, Balule, Tsendze, Mopani and Shimuwini. SANParks invites prospective investors and operators to submit detailed bids in line with its mandate and objectives for this PPP opportunity. Interested parties will be expected to meet certain minimum criteria in order to qualify. The PPP opportunity Advert, Request for Proposal (RFP) and PPP agreement documents, setting out further details of the minimum criteria and prescribed process to be followed, is available below.

The regulatory provisions for PPPs can be found on www.ppp.gov.za SANParks will enter into the PPP agreement with the preferred bidder for a 10-year period, which is likely to provide a fair return on investment for the private party. In return, the private party will meet agreed operating, development, refurbishment, broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) and environmental obligations, and pay a PPP fee to SANParks.
