SANParks currently have 6 internet-based weather stations that provide live weather data with online log in functionality. It is likely that the number of weather stations will increase as additional funding is made available. The weather stations are part of the Park Management Risk Management system which informs decision making around flood and fire risk. Timeous repairs and services are vital to minimise the loss of data and availability of data and quick turnaround on repairs are critical. SANParks seeks to appoint a service provider to ensure that the annual subscription fees are paid and to supply parts and repair services to ensure optimal operational functioning. SANParks will conducts repairs and routine maintenance infield. Infield services are not required.
