Yesterday afternoon a fire started between the Skukuza and Pretoriuskop restcamps. The cause of the fire is unknown and firefighters are still trying to extinguish the blaze.

A fire broke out in the Pretoriuskop area of the Kruger National Park late on Tuesday afternoon. The cause of the fire is not yet known. As a result of the prevailing windy conditions, the fire got out of control despite the valiant efforts by the park’s Fire Fighting department to keep it under control.
