Media Release: SANParks and Pick n Pay to replace South African Super Animals cards that have errors on them
11 May 2017
Pick n Pay and South African National Parks (SANParks) are correcting errors found in the very popular South African Super Animals collectible card campaign.
Pick n Pay has already taken steps to get replacement cards to collectors. “Our customers love our South African Super Animals collection, and we’re really sorry that a few errors crept in. We’ve been responding to our customers on social media platforms to let them know that corrected cards are being printed and will be in our stores shortly. Collectors can then come in to exchange their cards for free, or contact us via our Facebook page and we’ll get replacement cards to them,” said Andrew Pretorius of Pick n Pay Marketing.
SANParks Acting Head of Communications, William Mabasa said, “We would like to apologise for the errors, and thank South Africans for their continued support of conservation.”
The South African Super Animals app has already been updated with the correct information, according to Pretorius.
Mabasa said SANParks receives R1 from every Super Animals album sold, and is supporting the campaign for its fun and educational value. The Super Animals cards are a range of 108 cards that can be collected and placed in a collection album. Pick n Pay customers receive four cards for every R150 spent in store. The campaign runs until 4 June or while stocks last.
