Media Release: Heavy rains in Mapungubwe National Park

28 February 2017

Mapungubwe National Park & World Heritage Site experienced heavy rain fall over the weekend.  As a result, some parts of the park are experiencing high water levels which has caused the road to the tree top walk and the confluence to be temporarily closed.

The rest of the park is operational and Park management will continue to assess the situation and keep the public posted.
