Media Release: Pensioner's Privileges

Date: 2002-02-13

The Gauteng Department of Education has changed the school calendar for the spring break to accommodate the World Summit on Sustained Development (WSSD). The school holidays will start on the 23rd August instead of the 20th September.

This change affects SANParks with regards to our pensioner privileges, which are normally applicable during school terms. It has therefore become necessary for SANParks to withdraw all pensioner privileges for the period 23rd August to 9th September, as from Thursday 7th Feb 2002.

SANParks will honour all existing pensioner reservations for the specified period, provided that no changes are made to the bookings.
