South African National Parks(SANParks) and Penta Publications reached an agreement to terminate the ‘TIMBILA’ publication contract between the two organisations, effective from the 1st of March 2002. In terms of this agreement, the publisher will continue to produce the magazine without the involvement of SANParks. This means that the SANParks logo will no longer appear on the cover of the magazine and that SANParks will no longer have any influence in the editorial content of the magazine.

The termination - a mutual agreement between the two parties - leaves Penta Publishers with the sole rights and ownership of the title and brand ‘TIMBILA’.
