Media Release: Mad Summer Special In Augrabies Falls National Park And Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park
Travellers are invited to take advantage of this wonderful offer to visit two of South Africa’s spectacular desert parks in the aftermath of the end of year holiday season, but before the busy Easter holiday season.
First there is the Augrabies Falls National Park with its breath-taking landmarks, such as Moon Rock, Ararat and Echo Corner and where the might of the Orange River cascades down a rocky abyss. Here visitors can indulge in adventure activities such as river rafting, mountain biking and hiking.
Then there is the South African side of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, with its rolling red Kalahari dunes nestled between 2 dry ancient riverbeds. Here black-maned lions, sleek cheetahs, the stately gemsbok, roving herds of springbok, hartebeest and wildebeest, gigantic sociable weaver nests and the striking pygmy falcon are all on the menu.
If visitors stay for 2 nights they will get one additional night free of charge, or if they stay 3 nights, they will get 2 additional nights free. Not only this, but the complimentary nights may be realised in either of the parks, regardless of where the original reservation was made.
The offer is valid for the time period 15 January 2002 to 19 March 2002. Reservations are naturally subject to availability. Reservations will open on the first of December on (012) 343-1991. The offer will only apply to new bookings.
