Media Release: Congratulations to Yusuf Abramjee

SANParks would like extend heartfelt congratulations to Yusuf Abramjee on being honoured with The Order of the Baobab, the highest national order to be bestowed on a citizen or a foreigner by the Chancellor of Orders.

Yusuf will be joining an elite group of worthy recipients like academic, Dr. Barney Pityana, the late Arthur Chaskalson who was a Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court and the much respected artist Noria Mabasa.

The Chief Executive Officer of SANParks Dr. David Mabunda said he was excited that all the hard work that is being done by Abramjee is being recognized and acknowledged with this order” He has been at the forefront of community initiatives that have displayed his credentials as a true patriot and we congratulate him” said Mabunda.

SANParks and LeadSA are in a partnership to fight the scourge of Rhino Poaching, encouraging communities to report any poachers or syndicate bosses to any law enforcement agencies for a reward.
