"Our parks require firm leadership with both vision and sensitivity, to ensure that they continue to grow, representing the biodiversity, landscapes, and heritage assets of South Africa for the sustainable use and benefit of all our people,"said Marthius van Schalkwyk, Minister of Environmental Affairs & Tourism.
The Board consists of the following appointees:
1. Ms. C Carolus (Chairperson)
2. Dr. Nombasa Tsengwa
3. Dr. Robert Scholes
4. Ms. Mantuka Maisela
5. Mr. Murphy Morobe
6. Mr. Zakhele Sithole
7. Prof. Willem van Riet
8. Ms. Lindiwe Sangweni-Siddo

The Minister wished the newly appointed Board every success in leading the further development of the national parks system.
