Our hideaway in the treetops deep in the unspoilt forest between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay...

Situated in the Harkenville forest,between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, the chalet is tucked away at the head of a wide valley.

From this hideaway you can absorb the tranquility of an Eden that has remained unchanged for thousands of years.

Bird-watch, botanise or simply observe the changing light in the forest-canopy as the hours pass by.

If you can tear yourself away from the large viewing deck, the comfort of this well appointed self contained chalet is yours to enjoy, you will lack nothing.

Bring your mountain bikes and ride some of the finest tracks in the country.

You may, on the other hand, wish to take a more leisurely stroll along a nearby forest trail.

Reservations can be made through the SANParks Regional Office at Demar Centre, Main Street, Knysna.

Provisional reservations should be confirmed within two weeks by lodging a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total tariff. The balance is due on occupation.

Payment can be made during office hours at the SANParks Office in Knysna on weekdays (07:30 - 13:00 and 13:45 - 16:00) or at the manned kiosk at the Garden-of-Eden (07:30 - 16:00) during weekends.

We accept cash or bank guaranteed cheques.

Last-minute Reservations

Last-minute reservations are accepted for a minimum of two nights.

Should you arrive after hours, payment, in full, can be made to the supervisor at the Garden-of-Eden on the following morning (please have your permit handy).

Tariffs

The chalet has two double rooms, each with its own bathroom. It sleeps four in comfort but can cater for two additional guests - there is a sleeper-couch in the lounge.
