Miss nothing - explore the Garden Route National Park
This year, SANParks and partner authorities (Municipalities and law enforcement agencies) urge prospective visitors to the Garden Route National Park to observe posted signs and notice boards in the Park and recreational areas.
This season’s activities in the Park include anything from nature walks and trails, to water sports, forest excursions, camping and many more. It is no wonder this holiday campaign’s theme is ‘miss nothing- explore the Garden Route National Park.
There are special Guides Programmes prepared for Tsitsikamma for those wishing to travel with a tour guide. There are also several activities planned to keep children occupied while parents unwind.
Meetings preparing for the holiday season held by various partners, singled out the need to raise awareness as a significant contributor to changing behaviour this summer, hence SANParks, Knysna Munucipality, Eden Municipality, Law Enforcement agencies and some security companies have started an awareness campaign.
Thanks to local media, topics that will be discussed as part of the awareness campaign include water safety, alcohol abuse, walking dogs in the Park, fishing tips and others. Citizens are encouraged to read signage and notice boards and ask guards around for help.
More information regarding each week’s topic will be posted on the SANParks Garden Route National Park website as well as on social media (facebook and twitter). The message to you is ‘get involved and not miss a thing!’
