Outreach Programmes
School Outreach Programmes
With the aim of empowering the community, school outreach programmes are one of the co-learning opportunities provided by Camdeboo National Park's People and Conservation Department. Regular school visits are done in order to celebrate national calendar events and create awareness of integrated approaches to conservation.
Eco-schools
In conjunction with the World Environmental Society of South Africa (Wessa), Camdeboo National Park has launched the eco-schools programme within the Graaff-Reinet area. The aim is to have as many schools within the area become involved in the Eco-schools programme, which aims to ensure a greener school environment and allowing for greater environmental conservation awareness.
