Swellendam Canola WAF Mountain Bike Race

We would like to inform all visitors to Bontebok National Park, that on Saturday, 9 August 2008, the Swellendam Canola WAF Mountain Bike race will be passing through the Park as part of the 55km race being hosted on the day. The cyclists will utilize the tourist roads and should be traveling through the Park between 11h00 and 14h00.
The Park will still be open to visitors as usual, and we request your patience during the time cyclists pass through it. We do not expect any major disruptions to our normal tourism operations, but would like to urge visitors to be on the lookout for cyclists and to ensure their safety on the roads in and around the Park and Swellendam.
The race is hosted by the Swellendam Cycling Club as part of the festivities in Swellendam surrounding the Canola Wine, Agri-tourism and Food (WAF) Festival, taking place on 8 and 9 August 2008.
