Invitation to Register on the Database of Service Providers

People And Conservation Specialists Or Related Fields of Expertise

The People and Conservation Division within the South African National Parks (SANParks) goal is to build constituencies amongst people in support of the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage efforts of SANParks, through:

• Community - based conservation
• Cultural Heritage Management processes (tangible & intangible), interpretation, research and documentation
• Environmental Education
• Youth Outreach
• Social Science Research.

SANParks would like to establish a database of potential service providerswith expertise in these fields whom we can source from as and when required to submit quotations for the implementation of various projects so as to contribute to the constituency-building mandate of the Organisation.

Other Fields of expertise include:

• Cultural heritage exhibition design & information material development
• Environmental resource material development
• Graphic design skills
• Desk Top Publishing
• Printing

Interested service providers are required to submit comprehensive profiles
and Curricula Vitae containing the following minimum information:

• Name of Business
• Contact details, i.e. addresses, telephone; fax
  and e-mail addresses
• Skills and expertise
• Previous relevant experience
• Fee structure (s)

The Business Profiles of interested services providers should reach the offices of the South African National Parks at 643 Leyds Street, Muckleneuk, 0002 or PO Box 787, Pretoria 0001by latest 31 July 2006 Kindly note that electronic profiles in PDF format should be sent to rassym@sanparks.org clearly marked and saved as such and hard copies of profiles sent must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the front as follow “Database People and Conservation service providers”

Please note that the registration of any service provider on the Database does not confer any right or entitlement to receive instructions from SANParks, who will within its sole discretion appoint service providers from the database.
