Fund Raising Dinner

The Pretoria Region's Honorary Rangers will host a fundraising dinner on the evening of the 6th of May 2005. This Formal Dinner (Dress Code Jacket & Tie) will be held at the Waterhole Restaurant, National Zoological Gardens, Boom Street, Pretoria at 18:30 for 19:00.
This Unique Event is being held specifically in aid of raising funds in order to take children from the nine (9) different schools in and around Tshwane who cater for children with disabilities, on an educational visit to the Marakele National Park. This will give opportunity to children who have had little or no exposure of a National Park, to experience for themselves the wonders of Nature.
Quinton Coetzee, well-known “Veld-focus” presenter on the SABC TV2 programme 50/50, conservationist and motivational speaker, will be the Guest Speaker for the evening. (See end for CV and profile of his presentation)
There will also be various choirs from the schools for disabled children, amongst others hearing impaired, visually impaired and a movement impaired children.

There will also be a cash bar available.
There will be a Silent Auction of Wildlife paintings, books, etc.
For this amazing event and exceptionally good cause, the tickets per person are R250,00. Tables seating eight (8) guests may be reserved at R 2000,00 per table.

Quinton’s CV:
Quinton was born in the Namib Desert and having spent most of his young life in the bush, he began his working career near there as a hunter. He later attained a university degree in the natural sciences after which he specialised in bush survival. Today he is considered one of the leading bush craft specialists in Southern Africa.
Quinton has always had a passion for expeditions. He has explored remote areas from the icy sub-Antarctic to the sweltering deserts of the Middle-East and has spent time with ‘vanishing’ tribes in Africa and the Amazon jungles.
As a conservationist, he has managed the animal collection for one of the largest Zoological Gardens in Africa, where he was committed to the breeding of many endangered species worldwide. In this regard he is well known for his commentary in print, on air and on television as presenter of the popular wildlife programme “Veldfocus” on 50/50. He has also trained as a classical pianist.
Quinton’s message has universal appeal and he has addressed audiences worldwide. His talks assist people to tap into their natural potential to improve their business skills and performance and to gain a better understanding of themselves and others.
