Cormorants over the years have evolved a special feature: they are able to focus there eyes both above and beneath the surface of the water. When it comes to eyesight, nearly every other life form living on earth are restricted to their medium or habitat of which they life, either water or air but not both. As a result of this feature cormorants are able to pursue their prey beneath as well as above the waters surface and have been recorded in depths of well over 100 meters.

The Bank Cormorant
These inquisitive birds are often seen spreading their wings out, drying them after fishing along freshwater dams and along rocky shores and islands of the west coast.
A Bank cormorant diet consists off small fish and other smaller animals including snails, beetle's ect...
