As far as I know it is west of Satara. Always find it a good place for game esp. lions

Seen them on 3 separate occasions at Girvana incl with a zebra kill.

Wow Donny, that must be a record! Have'nt seen ANY animals there of the 5 times I visited... so it's close to my worst waterhole!!

But the setting and scenery has potential...one day on a lucky day!! The roads to the waterhole are in need of serious scraping ..

:P

Believe leopard occasionally seen in huge sycamore ? tree overlooking Girvana waterhole.

Have been lucky with lion at this waterhole on 3 consecutive occasions over the past 2 years.

Early mornings you can find either the leopard or a troop of baboons in this tree. I had the baboons this trip

They are nevertheless entertaining.

Hi All,
It's a lovely place to just sit at (in your vehicle) & chill out. One year (3.p.m.) we saw mating lion & lioness "moved on" by a herd of elephants. Year later +- 400 impala, wave after wave coming to drink. 2 secretary birds, zebras, giraffes & others all drinking at the mud hole or the drinking trough. It really was a sight to see so many different animals & birds sharing nature
