I never did actually make it up to the top of Table Mountain on this trip, but I did drive Tafelberg Road one afternoon, to see the extent of the recent fire damage (unfortunately didn't take any pix, only video).
Also, since the new national park actually encompasses much of the Cape Peninsula, in addition to my visits to Cape Point, Boulders, and Kirstenbosch, I was in fact "technically" in or alongside this park during most of my travels around the Cape Peninsula. I was often startled, whilst driving along, say, Ou Kaapse Weg or Boyes Drive (and many other places), to see signs noting that the surrounding area was part of Table Mountain National Park.
I'll deal with my visits to Cape Point (twice, thanks to having a WILDcard), Boulders and Kirstenbosch separately, but here are a few pix of the mountain and the "greater" TMNP.
