Living in the Cape we are so used to these birds that one sometimes don’t even bother to look at them anymore. Thanks for reminding us of them again.

I suddenly decided to post these pix, taken 11th November of last year in the Cape Town harbour. Just because it´s that one time where I am actually so close to a bird that I can take a nice photo with my horrible excuse for a camera :roll:

Oh, and funnily enough it was a tick for me - since I only had been birding in Mapungubwe, Kruger, Botswana and Zim! I know it´s a very common bird though. :wink:

Common though they may be, I love these dainty gulls especially compared to the ubiquitous herring gulls we get here in Cornwall.
