BB posted this in the game topic - and I suddenly realised how I miss the sports commentary we used to have here in CC. I never needed to ever switch on the TV thanks to our mites.

And this weekend we have some good matches on the go? Three international matches?

It the Boks didnt miss so many own line-outs and run the ball more instead of the dreaded boxkick we might have won.
was a terrific game and AB are still the best. for now

Once again the Boks don''t know that the ball in hand is how to score. Too much aimless kicking.

But what a test. Top rugby by the top 2 teams.

At last Man United sent a shiver through the EPL yesterday, and no right back will relish playing them this season. The score should have been double, but 4-0 at a canter brings the 'old' new United back in the mix.

BB, Yup United did have a good win.
Though to put it in context, against QPR

Arsenal managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of a victory.

Good to see Liverpool losing

And Chelsea march on

So the Professor didn't think he needed to sign some cover in defence.
Or an out and out striker.

Well both weaknesses were made glaringly obvious last night

Sport is fickle....

What a different Arsenal team on the weekend.
With Ozil looking good and Wellbeck scoring too.

United lost, as did Liverpool and Spurs

In the F1 championship, Hamilton won and Rosberg dnf, so was pleased about that :D

United didn't lose, they were humiliated and Clattenburged.

All 50 50 decisions went to the home town. The ball looked out for the first Leicester goal. Whatever happened to their new goalline technology or are Lecister too snoep to have it installed. Worked in their favour.

And no 2, the brainless Raphael just touched Vardy after the latter shoved him out of the park. Clatts you cheat!
That gave Leicester momentum to score some cracking goals through a United defence that would have looked diabolical at Rochdale.
Even the second penalty - an obvious one - why red card? I have seen better goal scoring opportunities with no card, and Smalling was in front of goal.

But before that de Laet should have been off for 3 yellows but only got one.

Please Louis, find some youngsters in the club that can defend a bit.

You must have missed that Yoda. Clattenburg also awarded the scousers 3 penalties at OT last season, when one was a real one.

With decent reffing the rubbish 'defence' might not have lost the 'won' game.

Totally agree with you ,BB .
Clattenberg had a nightmare game and his poor decisions allowed Leicester back into the game . The rubbish Utd defence did the rest ' and this is from a City fan!!
Also thought Reid had a poor one in our game against Chelski, 7 yellows in the first half , of a competitive but not dirty game , meant a red in the second half was almost certain. he also missed a cast iron pen to us.
How I wish Howard Webb was still around !

Yes, we need to keep him fresh . Being in European competition ( do you remember that ? ) means good squad rotation.
Although Frankie impressed you , Mangala made a superb debut and think he will be one of the best central defenders in the Prem league this season.
