Travels in the Kalahari

Unread postby A-J » Sun Jan 13, 2013 2:18 pm

Kalagadi lover Roxanne Reid has written a book which all fans of this amazing piece of Africa will devour! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, not just because our family's adventure forms one of the chapters, but because its the next best thing to being there.

At the moment it's available as an ebook.

I'd forgotten about this book till I saw a review on Getaways website.Looks good - has anyone else read it ?

Some quotes"written by someone with a real and deep connection to the place"..... "communicating the sense of belonging and personal attachment to the bush felt by those of us who make regular pilgrimages " "not only for those familiar with the Kgalagadi. ..youu could also learn about how to plan your holiday in the park by taking a careful look at the need-to-know section" "As a bit of a sucker for bush trivia I also enjoyed the bush facts dotted through the book"

whole review is here :
