WCNP - Birds

Unread postby ph87gb » Thu Nov 26, 2009 8:52 pm

Although I saw loads of them getting good shots of Yellow-billed Kites was difficult, even these aren't really that sharp as I've had to crop in a lot.

The Black Harriers were also rather smart

Some other species I saw included:

White-throated Swallow

Bokmakierie (sadly this was about the best view I had of this beautiful bird)

Cape Sparrow

Grey-backed Cisticola

Well that about covers our time in the park, thanks for all the comments and hope you enjoyed the pictures.

If you haven't been to the West Coast then I heartily recommend that you do!

In the 2 weeks in South Africa I logged 180 species of bird which I think is not too bad given that it wasn't a birding holiday.
