Skukuza weather cam

Starting to get cold and grey here in Melbourne. The windchill gets me every winter, and my hands stay cold for months!! To put it in perspective, I think we're about 400 k's further south than Cape Town, so we have a long winter. But only 4 weeks before the days start getting longer!! The only thing good about Melbourne winters are naartjies (mandarins here), lots and lots of sport on TV, and the knowledge that spring is on the way!!

Our first proper winter cold front is on us. heavier rains expected later this morning with a max of 16 C predicted for today.

6C with an expected high of 22C - clear sky (for the moment!) - no breeze. (Hopefully the Fairest Cape will keep their cold front to themselves ) Trees are in their autumn colours but have started shedding leaves, grass has now turned a beigy yellow and all the visiting birds have flown northwards. BUT spring is just around the corner........

With the mother of all storms expected here in the Cape this weekend, and of course we share the cold front with friends up country, why not stock up on warm winter Stiffnecks items beforehand. See here.

Smart businessman....

Well I have got ample stock that would rather be on heads or around shoulders or even on the bumpers of smart cars than languishing on a shelf in my cupboard.

Horrid ... I want my summer

Saw the Cape weather at Newlands on Saturday. Lovely. Meanwhile we had 91mm in Melbourne over Friday night. Also lovely.

Cape of Storms, home of the Stormers is living up to its reputation in the finest tradition at the moment.

Sunny South Africa!? - elsewhere at the moment.

its Brrrrrr here and beanie is being put to good use !!!!!!

I'd like to make a request that the Capetonians please keep their lousy weather to themselves. We really don't need it here.
