Palewinged Starling Onychognathus nabouroup

Food
Insects, ticks, fruit and table scraps.

Habits
Gregarious when breeding and non-breeding.
Sometimes associates with the redwinged starling.
Does not walk on ground but rather hops using big strides.

PS: Sorry if there already is a topic of this starling Mods. Have searched but didn't find anything..

Plenty Pale-winged Starlings in Camdeboo NP around edges of the Valley of Desolation. They are like House Sparrow around there and are quite vocal. Some 100 meters lower on the hill, we weren´t able to find any - proofs how specific their habitat is. 8)

If I remember correctly, they are doing an oxpecker of a job on klipspringers in Augrabies.
