Great sighting Johan Gee I battle with the id of these LBJ birds, but I know this guys call sounds like a steam engine getting faster and faster

Photo taken approx 10k's north of Satara on the mainroad to Olifants. It looks like a type of Lark, but I don't know which spieces???

Zitting Cisticola certainly is the most likely candidate but I can't conclusively rule out Desert Cisticola.

As these mean little buggers tend to go, he was absolutely quiet hanging around us :tongue:

I must however say that first impression of him however did not put me in mind of a zitting, but then he was a bit damp at the time. My experience with Desert is far less, so i cannot really comment that i think it could be one
