During July we spend a short (what a shame) while at Storms River Mouth Camp in Tsitsikamma NP. This is still our favourite place on earth. It is here where the bush of the mountains meet the waves of the sea.
We stayed in the Oceanettes, which is right on the rocks and offer wonderful accommodation.
From our balcony we could see the dolphins in the waves and the whales deep into the ocean. The odd seagull paid us a visit.
A walk to the river mouth and the brand new suspension bridge is always rewarding. We were very pleased to see that the new bridge was constucted in such a way that you hardly realise that this is a new bridge.
A too short trip on the
Spirit of Tsitsikamma up the river was an amazing experience. The weather was overcasted and this spoiled the photos a bit, but the memories will last a life time.
We will definitely return.
On our way to the river mouth we saw a plague. This really made me think: why do we visit the parks? For a holiday and a good time? to see animals and birds? to enjoy nature? or maybe to get closer to the Creator of the universe and ourselves. In Tsitsikamma we found all of this.
Thanx to all at the SANP's who made it possible for us to be so privileged.
Greetings
