I got a new cell phone and while waiting for a court case, I used the phone to post something on this forum. I used the same user name and password. Is it supposed to work like that? Was security not breached?

Perfect!
You logged in under your own name, with your own password, so no trouble. In fact, you don't even know where I'm posting from. While waiting, you could surf to sanparks.mobi too.... |

Cellphone connection to the forum is great!
Suddenly I don't complain anymore if I have to wait for the kids after school. |

Aqua, I often find myself not being able to log in. When entering your password, check if you are typing in lowercase only. The default on my phone is one upper- than lower case and only after my password has been rejected for the umpteenth time....

Quote Cellphone connection to the forum is great! Agree, the only draw back is that one can't post links ect. Or can one? |

You can post links.... I have in the past, but with difficulty.
My phone has copy&paste facilities, so I: - surfed to the page I wanted; - bookmarked it; - walked through my bookmarks till the proper page; - copied the bookmark (not easy); - surfed back to the site and topic I wanted; - started a quote or new post; - typed text and then description and the rest of the text; - posted. (and had to do it all again as someone else posted in the mean time - topic review, post gone! )So using links in posts with the phone is for emergencies only... |

My son told me that it is very expensive to download Sanparks directly from Google especially the pictures. He downloaded Opera Mini and then opened Sanparks in Opera Mini. The pics are not very clear, but it's easier to move around and much cheaper.

AWB I use Opera Mini on my Blackberry, and I agree it works well. I can easily log in, browse the forums, and post replies. Someday I'll talk Mrs. Stark into an iPhone, but until then, my BB+Opera Mini is a winner.

What's happened to www.sanparks.mobi?
Please tell me it's just routine maintenance? I'm missing my fix while on the move! |
