Benbow figurehead
Dating from 1813, the Benbow was one of the largest battleships ever built and this figurehead stood, for many years, at the gate of HMS Vernon, now known as Gunwharf Quays. Admiral John Benbow experienced differing fortunes in his life but ultimately won the hearts of the Navy for his gallantry after refusing to leave action stations during battle.

Special thanks to all the 'meet Mites' We just received a most beautiful post card of the Spinnaker Tower at Portsmouth. And thanks to WildImage for the pics from the viewing platform et all. That card really made you all seem very real in this cyber space. Thank you all

Sadly Jenny n I have been facing our yearly nightmare of getting the new school year and our private practice up and running, it’s just been non-stop since we got home from our Aug. Kruger trip.

With a bit of luck, tomorrow should see the last major component up and rolling.

Then we can think about starting a TR, best wishes to you all.
