I also dont have a Butterfly Book but saw this little beauty in the garden a while back, managed to find it in a very old book where it was referred to as a Guinnea Butterfly?? Maybe someone can confirm that or submit any other names it may be known by. Have a got a few more I will upload sometime as I am clueless when it comes to butterfly names

You've got a Guineafowl there Hamanumida daedalus.

It is probably called Guineafowl because it looks much like a guineafowl feather, RosemaryH... It is distributed throughout the flatlands of most of the Transvaal (excluding the coldest parts of Mpumalanga; and also found in the northern most parts of the Northern Cape and Northern Natal as well as Swaziland. Seen year-round.
