Hi all

Don't know if this is the right spot :hmz: !

Is this a Puff adder or not? I know it's not a great shot I got spooked by a noise in the car

Another snake id please....Found this 20 cm snake under the dogs bed on my doorstep. We live on the North Coast in KZN in a small seaside village. The snake had very jerky movements and a distinctive narrowing at it's tail.....I am struggling to attach the image but you'll find it here....http://sites.google.com/site/saudisarah/

Looks like a Natal Black Snake (Natalse Swartslang) - Macrelaps microlepidotus to me. Nasty customer. Doesn't bite easily but venom causes loss of consciousness.

My best bet, is with the Unspeckled phase Common Wolf Snake(Lycophidion capense)......I do think the only way to tell this snake for sure would be a side on shot of the head, and a decent scale count?! :hmz:
:D
