Your husband is a lousy delivery man.
You don't send him to the shops often, do you? Bert, that must've been funny to watch. Afsaal's bees don't take no for an answer. ![]() |

wildtuinman wrote Your husband is a lousy delivery man. You don't send him to the shops often, do you? No, no.... he has his moments.... like the time I saved up for months to buy a brand new chest freezer. Got to the shop and proudly paid for it in banknotes just to hear that I had to pay a delivery fee.... which I did not have at the time. He got home only to find me close to tears 'cause my newly acquired, prize possession is standing who knows where till who knows when. He grabbed the mini's keys saying he'll be back soon. A while later, a very depressed me was standing on the balcony staring down the road when I saw something looking like a huge box on roller skates coming along..... yip! Was my brand new chest freezer tied to the mini's roof! Yes.... I know, I have to get back to work...... I'm off topic! |

Nice one - RJ
Many years ago - just 18 and driving my dad's truck (got my licence the week before), truck nicely collected under my right elbow - nice summer breeze - bee flies into my short sleeved shirt and hits me under the arm pit - can't stop - truck to control - some choice french was uttered !! |

Me**e!!!Ha ha Billy...at least it didn't bounce off your arm, like MINE did and land in your lap!!! One of the last times I was stung...we were at a bottle exchange and a drunken hornet came out of a bottle....flew over to my arm and stung me for NO reason. He didn't survive! |

btw, my son got a nice sting on his nose way back.
On his 4th birthday. I have many bees in my garden during summer 3 different kinds. Als small ground bees Very friendly chappies. But with Jose here. Wasps in August are a menace Hornets as well. The bigger wasps. Once had me running for cover in a nature reserve. Tried to photograph a nest. But had to get closer and closer with my lens. ![]() |
