Rules: Very few. The first line needs to be SANParks related. Ideally, there will be some sort of rhyme. Each new post adds just the next line. It helps if you copy and paste the previous lines before adding your own. You can use Quote but it looks neater. References to other Forumites should be kept sweet. Whoever completes the last line starts the next limerick.

The Mods may wish to add additional guidance.

So, here goes:

In a race between lion and cheetah
Which started with a growl and the sound of a distant hadida
Said the lion to the cheetah I'll teach'ya'
I'm the one that's gonna beatýa
The cheetah replied in a wink of an eye
That sounds like so much pie in the sky

Good first try but there are some conventions regarding limericks. They have 5 lines. The first and second lines should rhyme, the third and fourth rhyme and then the fifth line should rhyme with the first. For example.

A forumite lost his wildcard
and his back became badly jarred
just for a laugh
he'd climbed a giraffe
fell off and landed quite hard.

Anyway, if you still have the will to live. it's Elsa's turn to start. :?

An elephant by the name of Duke
Had a son, which he had named Luke
He was as bad as he was big
And he eats many a twig
He ate so much it made him puke

There was a young lass from Satara
Who wanted to ride an Impala

and ride a Gnu
so she arrived late for the gala !

An angel called Matthys was hot on the cam
and there was me thinking Matt was a man!
Well if thoughts could change gender
oh boy, what a mind bender!
Instead of a ewe she'd be a ram!

It was a dark night in Skukuza
with the Hyenas all drunk on Gazooza
they giggled and laughed
and acted quite daft
Next morning they'd need a real soother!

I met this guy at Crooks Corner
who traded in flora and fauna
He took flowers and bees
elephants and fleas
And said I am not Litte Jack Horner!

To keep this limerick flowing free
Blessed with the "Gift of the Gab"
using words in a way that is fab
continuing his word bending spree!

The baboon was standing at Cape Point
obviously casing the joint.
He found a cap for his head
made of wicker and lead
And a candle with which to anoint!

On the rock, near the water
stood a man with his daughter
watching a hippo at play
Just listen, you might hear him say
I really am pleased that I brought her

I am sitting at Sunset Dam
Over there in the distance is a Ram
with long spiraled horns,
all tangled in thorns
but his coat as smooth as a lamb.

Against the blue sky, the fish eagle soared
And far in the distance a lion roared
This is Africa, an amazing place
It has it's own laid back pace
over here you will never be bored!
