Travel up towards Lower Sabie and go to Mlondozi Dam for breakfast and then travel up on the H-10 to Tshokwane and cruise around there for awhile S35 & S 37 I think (I'm no good with the road numbers) but that should give you a fairly good chance of picking up a Tssessebe or two. I'd love to tell you to try the much closer road The Salitje road but I have only seen Tssessebe once there but its the same Rangers Section. I just want you to see your first tssessebe and if you go up to tshokwane one day from Croc Bridge (nice Camp) i reckon you will be back by lunch.

I've seen two herds near Mopani, right next to the road. Unfortunatly as it goes, we had forgotten the camera at camp.
The sighting was nonetheless exellent. |

Thanks Richprins, there were 2 adults and one youngster as in my last pic.
It was such a thrill to see them, the first I have ever seen in Kruger, seen plenty in one of the KZN reserves. |

Elsa,
You said you saw plenty in one of the KZN reserves. I didn't know they were found there - weren't they blesbuck or red hartebeest? |

We saw a female and three quarter grown calf at Shiltlhava dam near Pretoriuskop last year. they stayed at the water's edge for a good half hour, remaining well clear of the gargantuan crocodile that had beached itself on the water's edge.

I saw a herd of them on Sunday on the H1-6 at a mudhole (or thats what my mom says as she can't find it on the map) There was such a jam we thought it was leopard.
