Couldn't manage to log in yesterday Jan, but that is a stunning picture of the Pied Kingfisher with his shiny catch! :clap: :clap:

This is one of the series that won the sighting of the year last year but I didn't post this pic. The fish eagle had stolen the heron's catch and a tremendous fight ensued. Worth another look?

this thread is turning out to be a classic and we are being very, very spoilt.

I was saying to someone recently that watching the Olympic gymnastics makes many stunts and shows look rather average. I feel pretty much the same way about this thread. To have so many quality images is just.... well.. wonderful.

I am glad that nest with those thorns is not being built for me. It seems like hard work too! Beautifully captured Jan! :D

Granjan, that really is a superb picture of the Fish Eagle and the Heron! It definitely deserved to win the award! :clap: :clap:
