DassieDelight, sorry for not responding earlier. I know about having to work to pay for trips but this time I have time off for good behaviour. Enjoy KNP in September.

Hi All, here is a quick photo taken when we met for lunch today. We had a really great chat over a lovely meal in the sunny environs of the Ship Inn at Langstone.

So glad the weather was kind to you, and wish I could have been there.

What a great time I had.

Thanks muchly to saraf for the patience with nebulous date details on my part, and for taking time out to organise a great time together.

Nice to meet you all in the flesh, JDW, WildImage, carolv and of course saraf.

If any other forumite is visiting Hampshire, the bar has been set high to beat.

Oh yes, we saw 19 species, including little owl.

I am already talking about 'next time'.

Thanks for the good wishes. I fly out on Sunday night, arrive in CT early on Monday and after a quick shower it is off to work - no point in wasting leave.

JDW, I hope England wins on Sunday, but Saturday will be a different story.

Watch out next week, I will be back home on my own computer and well rested to start my own brand of nonsense with renewed vigour.

Just remember my tongue will still be firmly in my cheek, except when I compliment a nice bunch off forumites I have met recently.
