Last week I sent an email to Wild card about a problem I came across when I tried to renew our wildcard online. We live in SA on a permanent residence permit (with a SA ID number) and thus have a SA wild card for couples. Filling out details about Nationality (which is not South African) we can only opt for a passport number and consequently only for the International All Cluster type of Wildcard.
No reply from Wildcard so far, and our existing card will expire soon. Please help and inform what we should do (the only solution now seems to state that we have South African Nationality). |

Hi kwabo0802, welcome to the forums.
Please could you fill in the online query form on this page. Or if you have any problems with that then try this one. If you still haven't got anywhere in a few days then please PM me your Wild Card number and a contact email address and I'll try to get someone to follow it up. |

Dear Saraf, thanks for your reply. I did already contact Wild through their website contact form. Besides that sent a normal email. I also tried to call but they let me wait more than 10 minutes, so I gave up.
Cannot wait much longer as my wildcard expires the day after tomorrow. |

Saraf will probably sort it out for you, but if not, as the normal SA Wild Card is for South African Citizens and Permament Residents (which you are) I would think it just easier to put that you are an SA Citizen..........you are not doing anything wrong as you are entitled to an SA Wild Card, and the online form isn't letting you explain, your residency!!

You can let your Wild Card expire (as long as you don't need it of course) and renew it when you can. I can't remember off the top of my head but you can let it lapse for a number of months. |
