trying to tidy the load on the forums ... I have also made load changes so speed should be a visible increase on the forum.

Not a problem -- just a question :lol:

Has the PM system been changed ?

Before -- you would be notified by e-mail, sign on and get a pop-up directing you to your in-box.

Now -- notified by e-mail, sign on & no pop-up. No problem. Sometimes the top of the page says "1 new message" and sometimes it stays on "0 new messages".

So you look at the last PM received & it is actually a new one :roll:

Does this depend on the number of hours elapsed between getting the notification & logging on or .......?

A glitch ???

P@m I think you have to refresh the page, before it shows "1 new message"

If you see an email notification and then log on to forums it will show "1 new message". If you are already on the forums and get an email notification you need to refresh the page otherwise it will show "no new messages"

I only "think" that, but some clever person will let us know if I'm right!! :redface:

I think a glitch...

I just received and sent a few, and it works. But I do not have email notifications or pop-ups on.
(Actually your browser might be blocking the pop-up.)

The pages here are not dynamic, meaning they do not update without your interaction. Facebook does, forums don't.

Browser didn't block these pop-ups before & browser not changed .....

Val, thanks, I'll remember that for next time I'm on & get a message :thumbs_up:

In these cases, however, it was many hours between getting the notice & logging on.

Will just have to call it a hiccup :lol:
