I could not put the Wilderness Family down. Read it everywhere - home, work, walking to work, and as soon as I finished it I started again. My all time favourite book.

I have just got another of Kobie's books to take to KTP with me in a few weeks time but I am finding it hard resisting the urge to read it now.

I know the feeling. Read it 3 times already. My son read it for his book report this year, and He got 100% He was so descriptive of all the things she experienced in kruger, that his teacher wanted to read the book herself.

Hi Bush hugger

You can buy the book at kalahari or buy an eBook here

Other than that, I have no idea where to buy the book. We bought it in one of the kruger shops years ago.

Hello Mariek, looks like The Wilderness Family is out of stock on Kalahari. Bad luck.

Porridge you will enjoy them all !!! :D What a life it was for them in the bush !!! Some hair raising episodes.
Both Kobie and Kobus (SO) have moved back to the bushveld and , for a while , have lived in Hoedspruit. Lucky devils !!!

Kobie Krugers Books are

1. All things wild and wonderful
2. Mahlangeni

These books make you so lis for the bush

I just read that a mite ordered all 3 books. The Wilderness Family is a combination of 1. All Things Wild and Wonderful and 2 Mahlangeni and was not published in RSA. It was composed for the overseas market. If you get all 3 you may be a bit disappointed with the repetitions of stories from the other 2 books.

If any mites are in Hoedspruit on 10 May 2013 you are welcome to join me as I am having lunch with the Krugers. Kobie will autograph the books you bring

Porridge, I'd bought and read the 2 and they are brilliant - Read 'Mahlangeni' first as 'All things wild and wonderful' is following on.

But there are others as well.. Boskonsert / Bush concert and Buro van Babel (not sure of names) I stand to be corrected here and these books I am looking for, again. :hmz:

Enjoy the reading...

Thanks, Kaapsedraai :) I started Mahlangeni on Friday, finished it on Saturday, then started and finished All things wild and wonderful on Saturday too!! I couldn't put them down, and I laughed till I cried, and in places just cried. What a brilliant read!! My hat's off to Kobie for a job superbly well done!!

Have both of them and what an enjoyable read. Kobie just have the way of writing that lure the reader into her tales and when you finished the last page your somehow sad that it has ended. A must read for all that haven't done so yet, and a must reread just to relive those memories well written.

Meerkitty, Wilderness Family is Mahlangeni and All Things in one book in case you didn't realize it.
