I need some advice here please.
We visited Mapungubwe a couple of years ago, over the December holidays, and had a wonderful time. We always wanted to return and thought that this coming December we will do so. Unfortunately there has recently been a lot of negative comments on Mapungubwe. My main concern is the possible overcrowding of the campsite and Maloutswa Hide. (Both me and my husband are working and we are therefor not able to visit in off-peak times.) When in the bush peace and quiet is not negotiable for us. A noisy overcrowded campsite is my worst nightmare!! |

I would choose Tsendze because if Roger is there he keeps order and I doubt whether he would allow over crowding. Mazhou is beautiful but maybe all those holiday folk and kids might not suit you ... Have you thought of mokala NOW that is remote and quiet and spotless and I loved it New Camp site I believe is great as you have your own private ablution

Thanx for the reply!
Tsendze is a big favourite with us with the added bonus that you can book a specific site. We have been to Mokala and abslutely loved it. Was only a short visit camping with a rooftop tent. Unfortunately I do not think Mokala's roads are suitable for our conventional caravan. ![]() |

You can have a nice time here, a good time there, see some nice things here, better things there, but unfortunately, and with all due respect to the other Parks, you will not experience the total 'package' of a place like Tsendze. But in the end it is ka-ching-ka-ching ($$$) that counts.
