We are taking our cameras and heading to watch, and hopefully snap, the moon rise later today ... if there are successful pics, will share them.

I am sitting in my lounge and we have a whole wall which is just windows so I can see the moon now but although it is quite lovely it doesn't look any different to me and SO than any other full moon :hmz:

The cloud has gone but now it just looks small and ordinary :x
You will def. need to get a pic just as it rises. As well as being at its closest to the earth, the moon looks bigger at the horizon because your brain has something to relate its size too or conversely it looks smaller at its peak in the sky because there is nothing around it.

I tracked the moon as much as I could. Sadly between my dogs and the limitations of my camera, I hope next year will be better.

The moon rises above a graveyard on a hill close to my house. I was too late for that. I did however have a moment when I could catch the dying rays of the sun and then turn to the large, but infant moon.
