JenB wrote Rephrase Arks, your left, might be my right but your left! Thanks, Jen — I'm always confusing right and left, so no worries |

Note, the dirt road is rather rough, especially the first section going up a rather steep rise. But don't be put off by that. Drive slowly.

Robert, I wish you all the best with your treatment. I now have a much better understanding of your disappointment. Could you go to Kruger in winter?
Arks, I hope that you enjoyed Mapengubwe. Marakela has been on my list for a long time, ever since I saw Jenb"s report. |

The next time will be able to go is around September so I cannot wait for that time. My best pic was taken between Skukuza and Lower Sabie of a Southern Ground Hornbill.
I just want to say thanks for the good wishes from all the people on this forum |

Robert I have also only visited Marakele only once and yes as everyone mentioned you cant compare the park with KNP but that said I must admit I saw my first ROAN in marakele and that will always leave a happy thought of that place with me .
Wishing you a speedy recovery and happy clicking away with the camera .. As for loading picks you need to upload it to a site like Photobucket.com or tinypicks.com after loading the photos you will have a sub link for the photo Example : [IMG] marakelephoto1[IMG] Just copy that link and paste it into your post whala now we can see your picture good luck. BTW make sure its not bigger than 800x800 |

OK here we go, my first try at posting a photo, this one of a Giant Kingfisher with catch was taken at Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria on the 5th February and was selected to be one of the top 25 photos on one of National Geographic's approved sites (Wild Bird Trust)

This photo of the Southern Ground Hornbill was taken between Skukuza and Lower Sabie some 3 years plus ago.

Good to get the advice about exiting Marakele left and driving around the mountain. We will be there end April for 3 nights, then Mapungubwe and northern KNP. I have never been north of Letaba in KNP, so this will be a new experience.
